Summer reflections

Well the summer has gone and time to reflect on being in some of the most beautiful mountains I have ever visited. We went to the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho and they were just stunningly stunning, awsomely awesome - fantastic.
We started off in another smaller range called the Seven Devils before moving on to the Sawtooths. The trails were empty, the mountains disappeared off into the wilderness, and there wasn't enough time to explore more so that's a good excuse to go back!
Since then I've been busy with work including CWA courses and SPA re-assessments, as well as re-assessing staff at GoApe. I also chaired the September meeting of the Mountain Leader Training where we discussed the future development of the awards and what the priorities might be. We also approved CPD proposals for award holders who are members of MLTA so that will enhance their development in years to come - it's been a busy month!
