Spring arrives!
Thursday 24th March, 2011
Well it's nice and sunny here on the Isle of Man where I am working at the Venture Centre running some staff training.
I hadn't realised how long it had been since I updated the blog - it has been a very busy few months, which is great in the current climate!
So far we've completed a Walking Group leader Award Training Course and today it has been a ropes based session on centre activities on things like the crate stack challenge and abseil platforms and associated rescues.
I'll be scoping new crags for the centre to use for climbing later this week along with assessing staff on rope rescue work. The photo is of some staff on their WGL Training Course on a navigation session on top of Snaefell, the highest hill on the island at 621 metres, in fine dry but windy conditions.
