Be A Part Of Something Big
Coronavirus update
Monday 29th June, 2020

It has been a complete struggle for many outdoor instructors like myself over the last few months. Like many other sectors, the shutdown has stopped all work and continues to affect any work involving travel into Wales.

In recent weeks, travel and direct work with clients living in England has been allowed. What have I been doing since re-opening? Mostly working out how I might social distance on a rock face, or how to teach map and compass work with social distancing in mind - these are the tricky issues when compared to writing a Covid 19 risk assessment for all activities.

I've also been running some training on line for other instructors through the Association of Mountaineering Instructors, on the role of the Technical Adviser.

We hope you all stay safe and healthy and hope to catch up with our friends and colleagues later this summer.
