Since my last update, it has been a pretty hectic time with work and holidays. Work has taken me to the Peak District, North Wales and Mid-Wales, and the Black Mountains where I was involved in some expedition work with Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award students.

I then went off on holiday to Colorado and had a great time there with several peaks over 14,000 feet climbed and a short trip to the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming, where we had snow in the valley on August 12th! It has been a wet summer in Colorado so the wild flowers were still in full bloom, like this Arctic Gentian which is quite unusual as Gentians are usally blue in colour.

Since the holiday, I've been at meetings of the Adventure Activities Industy Advisory Committee and later flew to Northern Ireland for a Board meeting of Mountain Leader Training of which I am now Chair. The holiday vibe still exists - just!
